Microsoft ei ole ilmoittanut mitään tietoa Windows 12:n julkaisuajankohdasta eikä edes sitä, että Windows 12 olisi tulossa. Päinvastoin Microsoft on vihjaillut, että se jatkossa keskittyy vain julkaisemaan Windows 11:n päivitysversioita. Se, ettei Microsoft ole kertonut Windows 12:n olevan tekeillä, ei ole pysäyttänyt spekulaatioita ja huhuja julkaisuajankohdasta. Joittenkin huhujen mukaan Windows 12 julkaistaisiin ensi vuonna. Jos Windows 12 yleensä julkaistaan, lokakuu 2027 voisi olla sopiva ajankohta. Päättyyhän Windows 10:n jatkettu tietoturvatuki silloin. Tämä on siis pelkkää spekulaatiota, sillä Microsoft ei, kuten jo todettiin, ole edes vahvistanut, että Windows 12 olisi joskus tulossa.
Mihin helvettiin leikkaa ja luonnostele katosi? Tuolla uudella kuvakaappaustyökalulla otettuja kuvia ei näköjään voi kopioida minnekään. Voi että mää tykkään kehityksestä.
Toi kuvankaappaustyökaluhan on nykyään parempi kuin ennen. Kun painat printscreeniä ja tulee se valikko yläreunaan näkyviin. Kuva alla. Niin voit hiirellä valita alueen mistä kuvakaappaus otetaan. Kuvat tallennetaan automaattisesti näyttökuvat kansion joka löytyy kohteesta kuvat. Tuolla siis näyttökuvat niminen kansio. Kuvakaappaustyökalu löytyy myös aloitusvalikon ohjelmaluettelosta tai Windowsin haulla. Sitä kautta kun aukaisee, niin voi asetuksiakin muuttaa.
Joo, näin on ja lisäksi sinne on tullut jossain vaiheessa myös tekstin kaappaus, kuvake oikeassa laidassa.
Mikäs siinä tökkii? Jos esimerkiksi haluat leikepöydälle suoraan kuvakaappauksen koko näytöltä ilman hiiren käyttöä, niin normaalisti Windows näppäin+Printscreen. Tai jos hiiren käyttö sopii, niin siten siitä yläreunaan tulevasta valikosta valitsee koko näyttö ja voilà. Mutta sanoisin kyllä, että on erityisen kätevää kun voi hiirellä valita alueen ja esimerkiksi toi tarantellan mainitsema tekstin valinta. Kyllä tää on Microsoftilta ollu hyvä uudistus.

En edelleenkään ymmärrä, miksi toimivaan käyttöjärjestelmään täytyy jatkuvasti keksiä muutoksia, joista monet koetaan vain ärsyttävinä, ja muutosten jälkeen julkaistaan sitten ohjeita, joilla Windowsin toiminnan saa palautettua entiselleen. Tuo versiopäivitysten muutos sen sijaan tuntuu aivan järkevältä. Aikaisemminhan (Windows 10:n ja) Windows 11:n versiopäivitys tarkoitti käytännössä koko käyttöjärjestelmän uudelleen asennusta ja kesti tunteja. Tuon Trinityn linkin mukaan versiopäivityksen osia jaetaan nyt tavallisten päivitysten yhteydessä pikkuhiljaa ja muutokset aktivoidaan yhdellä kertaa varsinaisen "versiopäivityksen" myötä, joka sitten on vain pieni ja nopea päivitys.
Vanhahko juttu, mutta itse törmäsin vastikään. Microsoft käyttää tekoälyä auttaakseen kirjoittamisessa.
