    Itse en guuglella löytänyt.

    "I upped the rating due to me being able to update the firmware to a beta version offered here http://tdb.rpc1.org/#GWA4040N the b107 version works on the gca-4040n and changes it to region free (gwa-4040n)and now i am able to read and write dvd-r, the new media still only burns at 2.4x but hey, at least i now have all the functionality of the gwa-4040n"
