Kernel-ongelma

Eli, olen asentamassa Nvidia-ajureita ja eilen miltein onnistuiman. Ongelman tuli kernekli, ja kuvakin on jopa ongelmasta.

Eli, nyt pitäisi kai sitten ladata kerneli uudestaan, onko ehdotuksia mikä kerneli? (asennuksen taisin viimeinkin oivaltaa, ainakin miten se käynnistetään)

 

Ai niin, ja kyseessä on Knoppix 3.7 jos en muistanut mainita.

 

Ööh. Siis nyt en ymmärtäny? Toi koko Linux ei siis oo sun koviksella vai onks Knoppix joku distro?

Asenna kernelin lähdekoodi suorittamalla jotain alla olevan kaltaista

apt-get install kernel-source

 

Debianin tarjoama kerneli on aika vanha: 2.6.8, eli kandeeraa tosiaan hakea noi tuolta kernel.orgista.

Jos ei ole niin voisiko joku kertoa miten saisin kernelin kunnolla koneeseen? Ongelman ydin:

Kun aloitin ET:n niin tein tämän "et +set r_allosSoftwareGL 1" mutta ET on erittäni hidas. Pätkii niin julmetusti etten pääsen pelaamaan.

Kernelin lähdekoodin asentaminen ei ikävä kyllä riitä. Se pitää kääntää ja ottaa käyttöön. Käynnistää kone uudelleen ja sen jälkeen asentaa se nVidian ajuri.

Eli sulla on joku kernelin versio x käytössä ja y lähdekoodi /usr/src/ hakemistossa. Ei toimi ei.
