MT1389: The new chip, the MT1389, supports playback of DivX video including version V3.11, V4.x and V5.x. It also delivers MediaTek’s patent-pending scan algorithm, the MDDi (media direct de-interlacing) technology. The new scan technology uses an intelligent link between MPEG decoder and embedded progressive scan processor to reproduce most accurate pictures from DVD movie discs. DVD players that contain the MDDi technology can be identified from the MDDi logo on the product. Juuri tuolla MT1389 piirillä varustettua soitinta olen himoinnut. Ainoa vika niissä vain tuntuu olevan ettei niitä saa mistään. Olisin ostanut tuollaisen itselleni jo jouluksi, mutta nyt näyttää pahasti siltä että homma menee pitkälle ensivuoden puolelle.

Tuossa Eltassa minua eniten häiritsee tällä hetkellä asiakaspalvelun ja teknisen tuen puute. Olen jo kolme kertaa laittanut Elta:n pojille sähköpostia jossa olen kertonut (englanniksi) laitteessa olevista ongelmista ja tiedustellut seuraavan firmwaren julkaisuajankohtaa. Kertaakaan en ole saanut vastausta, en minkäänlaista. Kissillä ainakin tuo asiakaspalvelu ja palautteen antaminen toimii käsittääkseni huomattavasti paremmin. He vaivautuvat vastaamaan asiakkaidensa palautteeseen ja kysymyksiin. Elta tarjoaa muutenkin sivuillaan varsin niukasti tietoa heidän soittimistaan. Myös Verkkokaupan palautesysteemissä on parantamisen varaa. Itseasiassa olisinkin todennäköisesti Rimax-soittimen omistaja jos verkkokauppa olisi vaivautunut vastaamaan sähköpostiini jossa tiedustelin onko heidän myymänsä Rimax varustettu tällä uudella Mediatekin piirillä? Mutta kun eivät vaivautuneet vastaamaan, niin tilasin vastaavan laitteen Saksasta - huomattavasti edullisemmin.
